Probable or Possible?

We live in a world obsessed with probabilities. Data, statistics, research—people want to know the odds before they even try. Science and research is extremely important for humanity and everyone should pay attention to new findings. But here’s where I challenge that thinking: Just because something isn’t likely, does that mean it’s not possible?

How many times have you heard: “That’s probably not going to work.” “Most people fail at that.” “It’s just not realistic.” And how many times has that made you stop? How many times have you doubted yourself because the data wasn’t in your favor?

Think about every incredible thing that has ever happened in history—every innovation, every breakthrough, every massive success story. None of them happened because someone was focused on what was likely. They happened because someone believed in what was possible.

Instead of asking, “Is this likely?”, ask yourself, “Is it possible?” Because if it is—even if the chance is one percent—then the only thing standing between you and success is what you are willing to do to make it happen. And if you are committed, if you are willing to show up every day, if you refuse to let "odds" dictate your potential—who is to say you won’t be that one percent?

We take in information all day long. People tell us what’s possible, what’s not, what the average person can expect. And without realizing it, we absorb those beliefs and make them our own. So, start paying attention. Are you letting numbers define what you believe about yourself? Are you shutting yourself down before you even start? Are you holding back because someone else failed? What if they just gave up too soon? What if they weren’t you?

This world is full of possibilities—but only for the people who refuse to let limits define them. Challenge what’s been placed on you. Question everything. Believe in something bigger. And then, go make it happen.
